SOIE MALAQUAIS LIMITED EDITIONS

Dries Van Noten unveils a new artistic collaboration with Dutch artist Bouke de Vries that reimagines Soie Malaquais – the Maison’s emblematic fragrance – as a series of five sculptural, porcelain-based limited editions.

SOIE MALAQUAIS X BOUKE DE VRIES

Known for transforming fragmented ceramics into works of poetic resilience, de Vries brings his distinct visual language to the world of fragrance, deepening the dialogue between craft, materiality and emotion.

Since its creation, Soie Malaquais has embodied Dries Van Noten’s instinct for impossible combinations: an intimate play of warmth and luminosity, echoing the Maison’s fascination with texture and pattern.

For de Vries, the fragrance sparked an immediate, near-cinematic flash of recognition: memories of the Dries Van Noten boutique in Paris; the heady mix of fabrics and anticipation; and his own early years working in the design studios of Zandra Rhodes and Stephen Jones. Guided by these impressions, as well as his lifelong affinity for textiles, he sought to capture “the “sly beauty” of the fragrance collection’s juxtaposed materials.

EXCEPTIONAL BOTTLES

Each design of the five, one-of-a-kind, masterpiece bottles integrates cobalt-blue naturalistic motifs and reconstructed pieces, celebrating the tension between fragility and reinvention. The Soie Malaquais limited editions by Bouke de Vries will be available at our London and New York gallery from the 10th of February 2026.

Artworks

Additional still life and flower artworks – including roses and a tulip – extend the collaboration into collectible creations.
