Velvet Violet reveals an unexpected facet of violet in perfume. Inspired by velvet, the fragrance pairs the woody freshness of violet with the warm nuances of sesame.
Its semi-transparent glass in deep purple hue reflects the tones of the flower and the sheen of velvet. At its base, a graphic motif inspired by sesame expresses the dialogue between color, texture, and fragrance, creating a true velvet touch perfume experience
NEW ARRIVALS
Inspired by a fabric and a flower, the Dries Van Noten Beauty collection explores color, materiality, and the interplay of textures. Velvet—crafted, embroidered, layered, or twisted—meets violet, a flower with supple, powdery nuances.
Three gestures compose this ritual: Velvet Violet Eau de Parfum, an unexpected violet perfume combining violet and sesame; three lipstick shades; and violet-scented blotting papers for lips.
VELVET VIOLET
A NEW EXPRESSION OF A DISTINCTIVE FLOWER
An unexpected pairing of a fresh flower and a roasted seed. Defined by contrasts and plays of texture, Velvet Violet belongs to a woody floral gourmand family.
From the first notes, the duality is present. Focusing more on the leaf than the flower, violet – green, fresh and subtly – takes on a modern profile. In contrast, sesame unfolds as a toasted accord with rich, nutty facets.
LIPSTICKS AND LIP BLOTTING PAPERS
Peach Punk, Grunge Plum and Rose Taboo. Three bold additions join the lip collection, spanning a palette from understated to statement-making. Two sheer finishes and one satin create sophisticated texture effects.
The lip blotting papers are designed for makeup rituals. Inside, one hundred sheets of violet-scented Japanese paper. Applied to the lips, the papers remove excess lipstick and soften colour intensity with a blurred effect.
